Vice President of Development

The Cardinal Newman Society is seeking a Vice President of Development to manage, grow and lead its fundraising programs from its office in Virginia.

Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
Fundraising
• Designs, implements and manages all fundraising activities including annual giving, prospect solicitation, direct mail, endowment and capital campaigns, special projects and events, and other solicitations.
• Manages all strategies and activities for donor cultivation, solicitation, and relations.
• Maintains contact with and develops grant proposals for foundations and corporations.
• Develops a comprehensive planned-giving program as the need becomes appropriate.
• Recruits and manages activities of advisory board(s) to assist Development efforts.
Development Office Infrastructure & Processes
• Creates office systems to support all Development projects and operations.
• Supervises donor and gift record-keeping.
• Coordinates development research activities.
• Oversees the management of databases and all records, files, and gift processing.
• Manages pledge reminder and acknowledgement programs.
Staff Relations

Translator Needed

There are unfinished French translation projects left them in this state due to more pressing publishing interests by the translator. These are important works by a renowned Thomist, and someone is needed who is at least as skilled as the translator in French translation to help him complete and edit them. He is happy to share the publication credit equally with whomever is willing to help, even in cases where he has done more than half the work.
 Here are the projects:
