The Diocese of Gallup, New Mexico is looking for a principal for St. Michael High School in St. Michaels, Arizona.  For more than a century, St. Michael Indian School has provided students from local Native American communities with a quality education that is rooted in Catholic values, is sensitive to Native heritage, teaches leadership skills, and enables students to contribute in a culturally diverse world. Program Instructor

Thousand Pines Outdoor School operates on the grounds of the Thousand Pines Christian Camp & Conference Center, which is a 240 acre site located in Crestline, California. Their team of Program Instructors runs the outdoor program by leading trails, teaching activities, staying in cabins with students, and assisting on leadership when necessary. Activities include: archery, rock wall, leatherwork, science lessons, experiments, songs, skits, games, team building exercises, nighttime expeditions, astronomy and more. Training begins September 23rd and the outdoor season ends the first week of June 2014. Instructors will perform the role of a Trail Guide (teacher) or a Cabin Leader (counselor) on a given week. Trail groups typically consist of three Program Instructors, with one as the Trail Guide (teacher) and two as Cabin Leaders (or counselors). Instructors make $80/day when either just teaching or just cabin leading, and $120/day when both teaching and staying with the students overnight as a cabin leader (counselor). Indiana

Director of Youth and Young Adults

St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Peru, IN seeks a full-time Junior High, High School, and Young Adult Director. This is a medium-sized faith-filled Catholic parish of 500+ families, which is enthusiastic and growing.
 
The successful candidate will help to implement the “LifeTeen” and “Edge” programs and continue to grow youth involvement.  This includes “LifeNights,” service projects, outreach to teens and adults, formation of adult core leaders, retreats, fundraising for teen events, social opportunities, etc.  The candidate will also help identify and engage the spiritual needs of young adults (age 18-35).

Dean


The Saint Lawrence Institute for Faith and Culture in Lawrence, Kansas, invites applications for the position of Dean for its recently created Humanitas program.  Humanitas is a new and unique model of learning that seeks to provide an integrated, Catholic and liberal arts education for the students at the University of Kansas.  Its purpose is to offer an experience that combines the best of a Catholic and liberal arts education, a Great Books course of study, and the community aspects of an Oxford University college without depriving students of the many opportunities available at a large American secular university.  The Saint Lawrence Institute for Faith and Culture is affiliated with the Saint Lawrence Catholic Campus Center.
 
The Dean will act as the program leader and primary instructor of the integrated humanities curriculum.  A qualified candidate will have a record of, or potential for, teaching the Great Books, mentoring undergraduates, effective program administration and leadership, and working with graduate students.  A qualified candidate will have familiarity with the thought of John Henry Newman, the Catholic faith, knowledge of the Pearson Integrated Humanities Program, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Campaign Positions

Immediate positions are available with the Lonegan Campaign in the Special U.S. Senate election to fill the seat left vacant by the death of Sen. Frank Lautenberg. Steve Lonegan was thrice elected mayor of a small New Jersey town, he espouses a conservative-libertarian political philosophy and is a strong supporter of right to life legislation. He is expected to face minimal opposition in the August primary before taking on one of four liberal democrats in the October general election that will be held on Wednesday, October 16. The circumstances of this election present NJ conservatives with their best opportunity in a decade to win a U.S. Senate seat for a candidate who would stand firmly in defending religious freedom and promoting the principles and merits of economic liberty and prosperity.

Montfort Academy Positions

The Montfort Academy is a co-educational, Roman Catholic high school that is thoroughly loyal to the magisterium of the Church and steeped in a classical curriculum that emphasizes the great achievements of Western Civilization. The Academy is currently hiring for two positions:

The Admissions Director will demonstrate a joy in becoming part of a classical school that exhibits an authentically Catholic identity. The director will also demonstrate an appreciation and understanding of the Great Books curriculum, the Socratic Method and how these things compliment the Catholic Intellectual life. The person will be of high moral character, exhibiting a maturity in actions and demeanor. The candidate will be able to articulate the school's mission and philosophy to adults and at the same time connect with potential students.

The Admissions Director will work under the direction of the Headmaster of the school and will aid in marketing and branding the school. Additionally, the candidate will possess the administrative and computer skills both to work independently and in conjunction with the clerical staff, directing them as necessary.

The position calls for the recruitment of prospective students who will appreciate the school's character and succeed within its defined academic framework. Among the specific tasks of the position are:
• Organizing school open houses and other admissions events throughout the year
• Representing the school at regional high school fairs
• Visiting area schools to address prospective students and building a strong relationship with middle school principals and teachers
• Being an integral part of the entire admissions committee, including the interview process with parents and students
• Scheduling and coordinating school visits for prospective students as well as helping them to navigate the admissions process and financial aid process when necessary

Director of Development

 Purpose

The Director of Development at St. Philip Neri Catholic Newman Center is to educate, inspire and inform parents, alumni, faculty, staff and members of the community about the mission of the Newman Center. The Director of Development is in charge of the day-to-day working of the Newman Center when Chaplain is not present.

Goal
 

The Director of Development should build long-term relationships with these stakeholders and invite them to become directly involved in sustaining and expanding the mission. Financial support is often a direct and important result of this relationship.

Ideal Candidate

The Director of Development should be a practicing and faithful Catholic in good standing with the Church. The candidate should have experience in Campus Ministry as a student or three years of demonstrated success in development.  Additionally, the candidate must have knowledge of the principles of fund raising or a eager motivation to learn.

Supervision

The Director of Development works under the direct supervision of the Chaplain. The Director of Development supervises staff, interns and volunteers.  The Director of Development is a full-time position.

General Purpose

The Director of Development:

  • Provides leadership, strategic direction, management and coordination at the Newman Center.
  • Creates fundraising strategies that increase the organization’s support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other sources.
  • Plays a key role in identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major donors for capital campaigns, alumni giving, grant proposal preparation, endowment contributions, and annual gifts.
  • Works in close collaboration with the Chaplain and the Advisory Board and other senior staff and key volunteer leadership to achieve the fundraising goals of the organization.
  • Cooperates closely with the University of Tulsa to plan the yearly Newman Center Society gala and manage five Newman Center donor-funded scholarships.
 Responsibilities:
 
  • Plan, administer, and implement all fundraising activities of The St. Philip Neri Catholic Newman Center of the Diocese of Tulsa including donor patron receptions, events, and galas;
  • 15-20 donor visits a month;
  • Maintain/oversee automated record keeping, database and accounting procedures on Raiser’s Edge for fundraising and communication with approximate donor base of 5000;
  • Develop, manage and implement (in collaboration with the Chaplain) all aspects of capital campaigns; identification, cultivation, and solicitation of individual, corporate and foundation contributions; cultivate and directly solicit key donors, working with the Chaplain, Advisory Board and other key volunteers, as appropriate;
  • Develop annual fundraising plan in collaboration with the Chaplain and other key volunteers including specific short and long-term objectives and programs and action strategies to achieve objectives for presentation to the Advisory Board;
  • Manage Newman Center in a fiscally sound manner by ensuring the appropriate systems, policies and procedures are in place to support fundraising goals and Newman expenditures;
  • Promote good relationship between the Newman Center and donors by preparation and/or management of all direct mail letters, case statements, grants, brochures, newsletters, websites and sponsorship proposals required to support fundraising efforts;
  • Make personal calls and visits and coordinates meetings involving Chaplain, key volunteers and Board members for fundraising purposes; monitors results of fundraising efforts and prepares reports and analyses for Chaplain and Board;
  • Promote public relations and fundraising effectiveness by assisting with the communication of the Newman Center’s mission and goals, participating in the community and civic organizations and activities, and initiating and participating in various projects and activities aimed at achieving funding objectives;
  • Promotes and coordinates alumni and volunteer efforts toward enrichment of the Endowment Fund;
  • Promotes Board participation by coordinating committee work for Board involvement;
